Bata South Africa celebrates Heritage day.

South Africa has a rich heritage which derives from the diversity of its people, a people of different culture, tradition and beliefs. South Africa has one if the largest number of languages spoken in one country. Despite these differences, the people inherited the land of their forefathers, the land of the Karoo, Roben Island, Knysna- the Garden route, the Drakensburg mountains, the Cape Point and Table mountain, the City of Roses- in Bloemfontein, the Diamond hole in Kimberly, the City of Gold- in Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga.

South Africans share the culture of 'uBuntu' adopted shortly after the end of the Apartheid Regime and the beginning of democracy.

Bata South Africa on Friday, 23 September encouraged its employees to dress in their traditional attires in celebration of their different cultures. There were prizes for best dressed female and male. Best dressesd male went to Pragasen Govender from the Retil department and Phili Sangweni who's from the HR department and they each won a R250 Pavilion shopping voucher.

The celebrations ended with a braai and socialising.
