GENERAL SHOE MAINTENANCE:

  • Before first use, impregnate and apply shoe cream, reapply as needed.
  • Never wash textile or any other shoes using detergents.
  • Rich and pastel colours may dull in use. Regular application of colourless cream may slow this process.
  • Leather and sanded leather shoes (as well as shoes made of synthetics and textiles) are not 100% resistant to moisture – suitable impregnation only increases its water resistance. The only type of shoes which are water resistant are full rubber or full plastic shoes.
  • Salt and other road treatment chemicals used in winter have very negative influence on shoes. Its aggressive elements attack shoe materials and cause bubbling and characteristic light-coloured stains. Try to limit exposure to these chemicals. Always wipe excess snow/water off your shoes. Regularly treat shoes with cream/polish/impregnation. Correctly treated shoes last longer. Shoes damaged by chemicals will not be covered by warranty.
  • White materials may yellow with time.
  • After taking shoes off, put in correct size boot trees.
  • Alternate shoes frequently, especially in wet weather (we do not recommend to use the same shoes every day).
  • Always thoroughly dry and air shoes after each use (with removable liners removed) – inside of every shoe is moist even after short use from sweat.
  • To dry wet shoes, fill them with newspaper and let slowly dry away from heat sources.
  • Wearing not completely dried shoes causes excessive wear (especially of insole and liner).
  • The liner and other inside materials may stain or discolour when exposed to excessive sweat or moisture.
  • Regular maintenance or replacement of top lifts, soles, liners, or lacing will prevent other parts of the show from being damaged; such damage will not be covered by warranty because regular maintenance should be ensured by customers.
